Welcome to Colonial Inauguration, GW's undergraduate orientation program! CI is designed to welcome you to the GW family and connect you with our campus services, opportunities, and community. We have assembled our best people—students, faculty, and administrators alike—to introduce you to life at GW. Colonial Inauguration is an experience the whole family can enjoy, with distinct sessions tailored for students, parents and siblings.
During CI, parents and students will choose from various educational sessions and social activities focused on taking care of business, building social networks, learning about life at GW, and most importantly for students—beginning your intellectual journey! Younger siblings attending CI during the summer can join the Siblings Program and spend their time getting to know our campus, exploring DC, and creating friendships with other GW siblings.
You will meet many administrators and academic advisors, along with our Colonial Cabinet, your orientation leaders, who will guide you through your CI experience.
